Our Milestones


1976

Incorporation – Dato’ Tan Yok Chin founded the company under the name of Kai Lim Furniture Manufacturers Sdn. Bhd. manufacturing furniture to supply to Peninsular Malaysia

1990

Crossing boarders – Tube Home (M) Sdn Bhd was established to export to Middle East initially and then to Canada, Japan, Europe and many more countries.

Expansion – Bought an industrial land in Beranang and built a second factory to increase production capacity to cope with the export market demand.

1993

First in Malaysia to successfully developed bunk beds that comply to British Bunk Bed Safety Standard BS EN:747:1993.

1994

Product Excellence Award & Export Excellence Award presented by Tun Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad – the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

8th International Europe Quality Award

Best Image of Industry & Commerce Award

2000

Supply 25,000 units of Bunk Beds to the Athletes’ Village in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Bought another industrial land in Beranang and built a third factory to increase production capacity.

Bought a 26 acres industrial land in Mantin with some existing factories.

Production of timber furniture in Mantin newly bought factories commenced.

2001

Invested in numerous aluminium die casting and gravity casting machineries and mouldings. Production of aluminium outdoor garden furniture commenced.

2002

Built a new factory in Mantin industrial land and invested in plastic injection moulding machineries and mouldings. Production of plastic furniture commenced.

2003

Supply 1,500 units of Bunk Beds to the Athletes’ Village in the South Pacific Games held in Fiji.

First in Australia and in Malaysia to successfully developed bunk beds that comply to Australian / New Zealand Consumer Product Safety Standard: Bunk Beds AS/NZS 4220:2003.

2006

Supply 6,600 Beds to the Athletes’ Village in the Commonwealth Games held in Melbourne Australia.

2010

1-InnoCert Certification awarded by SME Corporation Malaysia (formerly known as SMIDEC).

2015

Supply 6,200 units of Beds to the Athletes’ Village in Pan American Games held in Toronto, Canada.
